Bob was born in London Ontario. He completed his degree in zoology and his medical degree at Western University. Practiced family medicine in Vernon BC.

Dedicated the last half of his career working in remote locations with a practice on Hornby island. Practiced medicine until age 78.

Bob’s commitment to fitness never left him and he was running until summer started just few weeks ago. Nature and art were Integral to Bob and his paintings reflected how important both were to him Bob died with love and gratitude in his home surrounded by those he chose. Left to live their best lives are Chad Henderson and Robynn Henderson and Kay. Tobi Henderson, Jesse and Tyler. Aaron Henderson, Elyse and Tate. Also left behind are his beloved partner Barb Pelletier. And his former wife Wendy Henderson. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Doctors Without Borders. Or handing a few bucks to someone who might need it. Bob’s life challenges us to be kind and present and riotously joyful. Bob’s existed with absolute delight. As Carl Sagan said “the cosmos is within us. We are made of star stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself.”

Bob Henderson was a testament to this.
