Gabriola Chamber Ensemble

The glorious strains of the Messiah will fill the Phoenix Auditorium as the Gabriola Chamber Ensemble presents its annual Christmas concert November 30th.

Handel’s Messiah is a moving, magnificent triumph and a highlight of the Christmas season for millions around the world each year.

Director Brad Shipley and the Gabriola Chamber Ensemble are putting the final touches on selections from this great work.

Together with a 7-member orchestra, 7 soloists and a 28-voice chorus, we present an uplifting interpretation of Handel’s celebrated holiday favourite.

We anticipate enthusiastic audience participation in the ringing finale, the Hallelujah Chorus.

GCE on Gabriola dates back to 1998, with a reputation for excellent performances and an open, inviting musical culture that focuses primarily on classical music.

Directed by the talented Brad Shipley, the ensemble combines an intimate chamber orchestra with beautiful vocal harmonies.

Because of the expected popularity of this event, the concert will be performed at the Phoenix Auditorium at the Haven (240 Davis Road).

The concert begins at 7 pm on November 30th and doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20.00 cash at the door or via e-transfer to gabriolace@gmail.com Please include your name in the e-transfer comment.
