The Gabriola Museum is holding its ninth annual Trivia Night fundraiser on Saturday, November 1st, 2025, 7-9 pm at the Gabriola Community Hall. This year, we are featuring local playwright/directors Scott Rivers and Ray Appel’s film “Gabriola Squares” to ramp up the entertainment factor! Based on the iconic TV game show, Hollywood Squares, Gabriola Squares was created during COVID and is another “pandemic story” of how Gabriola triumphed creatively during that time.
For those new to Gabriola, Trivia Night will be an entertaining quiz night focusing on facts, figures, people, local and Indigenous history – at all knowledge levels and all to do with Gabriola. With some entertaining surprises thrown in. A great way for newcomers to learn about their new home, and for long-time residents to show off what they think they know about our island! Added to the fun are prizes for the winning teams, a silent and live auction, cash bar, 50:50 tickets, and an all-you-can-enjoy dessert table and coffee/tea/water (included in the ticket price). Plus a membership drive raffle – a chance to win a $260 loaded BC ferry pass!
All profits from the evening go to supporting the Museum’s continued operations and community programs – exhibits, school/summer programs, talks, tours, community gatherings such as the recent National Day for Truth and Reconciliation ceremony, and the McRae Property. Put a team together or join one on the spot; either way, come out on November 1st to Trivia Night and support your local community museum. We need your help.
Tickets can be purchased at the museum during open hours or online at https://gabriolamuseum.org/events/.
