Isobel Quinn
May 24, 1924 – June 8, 2024
Isobel was born in Strathaven, Scotland. She trained as a nurse in Glasgow. She emigrated to Canada in the early 60’s, nursing in Saskatchewan before coming to Vancouver to nurse in VGH.
She married Myles, the love of her life and came to Gabriola in the early 80s. Sadly Myles died shortly after her arrival in Gabriola.
She lived a full life and loved Gabriola and walking the trails in the earlier days when she was able. She also loved to travel and did so a lot when she was younger. She had many friends here who are all saddened by her death.
Isobell reached 100 years of age two weeks before she left us. She met her partner-to-be, Ronnie Bough, in 1997, and they were together until she left us, enjoying many trips to different parts of the world.
Her Celebration of Life will be announced later.
