An arrest warrant has been issued for 39-year-old Kelly Jordan, in relation to the hit and run on June 28, 2020 where Gabriolan Josh Marsh was injured.

Jordan is charged with of impaired operation causing bodily harm, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.

He has yet to appear in court, having left BC prior to making any appearance.

On the day of the incident, at approximately 6:30 pm, Gabriola RCMP, BC Ambulance Service, and Gabriola Volunteer Fire Department were called to the 700 block of North Road on Gabriola Island, where a young male victim – now identified as Marsh – was found with serious injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle.

Witnesses assisted police with identifying the suspected driver and vehicle, who had not remained on scene. Gabriola RCMP located and arrested Jordan a short time later and determined that impairment was believed to have been a factor in the collision.

Jordan was released on an undertaking and the matter has been pending since then – with the warrant now issued for his arrest.

Anyone with information on the wherabouts of Jordan is asked to contact the Gabriola RCMP at 250-247-8333 or Nanaimo Crimestoppers.
