Robert Kelly Stacey

It is with aching sadness, that we say goodbye to our brother Robert Kelly Stacey. Rob passed away suddenly and peacefully on October 18, 2023.
Rob was born in Tisdale Saskatchewan on September 21, 1962. He was a gentle, sensitive and creative soul who left his birthplace on the prairies as a very young man and moved to British Columbia.
Rob’s creativity and attention to detail were evident in all things he engaged with – his art, his music, his cooking, his gardening and his woodwork. His creativity was evident even in the gifts he gave – always unusual, unique and thoughtful.
Rob spent the last two decades of his life surrounded by the peaceful beauty of Gabriola Island off the west coast of British Columbia.
His life was characterized, especially in recent years, by simplicity, solitude and a strong connection with nature.
Rob is survived by his sister Catherine, and his brothers William and James; his nieces Jessica and Emily and their families; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
Rob will live on in our hearts and be remembered as a kind and gentle spirit.
May he rest peacefully.
