Gabriola Live is taking it slow. We have no desire to be a super spreader event, so we are live-streaming a concert, at no charge (donations always welcome), onto your computer, tablet or phone. Ron Cote, our Sound Engineer, is very adept at creating amazing sound through Zoom and you will be pleasantly surprised with the quality.
Our first live-stream show is Anthelia with Leah Hokanson and Tina Jones, Light Formation: A Live Stream Performance. Tina Jones on vocals and banjo with Leah Hokanson on vocals, keyboard and ukulele. Anthelia combines lyrically-inspired folk, jazz and classical with well-seasoned soul. Their message rings with compassion, unity, self-honesty, boldness and vulnerability. Their lush vocal harmonies bridge it all. It will take place at 2pm on Sunday February 6th.
How it works is you “purchase” a free ticket on gabriolalive.ca and the day of the show you will receive a link in your inbox. Click and enjoy.
You’ll want to join the Zoom before 2pm in order to check your tech and get settled.
Pro tip, connect your device to your TV and watch the concert on a big screen and some external speakers for big sound. A lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon on Gabriola.
