In Memoriam – Lynda Anne Williamson

1951-2024

A long time resident of Gabriola, Lynda Williamson passed away on April 19th 2024 in Nanaimo General Hospital. She and her husband Stan, who predeceased her, built a home on Gabriola with her parents, Reg and Tamara King. Lynda was for a time the Postmistress on Gabriola, and was well known as a music teacher to many young piano students.

She then moved to Parksville where she lived for many years and just in 2024, to Nanaimo. Lynda was researching many spiritual paths and beliefs and shared her interest and passions especially with her good friend of many years, Marilyn Matson in Nanaimo. She will also be missed by her friend Gary Henschke of Gabriola, her cousin Andrew Okulitch (Melynda), Salt Spring Island, and many nieces and nephews in B.C. and Oregon, and grand nieces and nephews in B.C., Oregon and England. Special thanks to Denis Vaudrin at Cypress Gardens and to the Nanaimo Hospital for all their care of Lynda during her illness and last days.

She would like you to remember her kindly when you experience the beauty of Nature and all the joy it brings us. She would wish you to have compassion for all animals and to cherish your friends and family.
