Mary Isabella Tougas
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Mary Isabella Tougas at the Woodgrove Manor residence in Nanaimo at the age of 91 years.
Mary will be sadly missed by her children David (Stephanie) and Nancy (Andrew) Binnie, stepchildren Joanne (Andreas) Lenze and John (Brenda) Taylor, sister Elaine Eden, brothers Robert and Richard Galbraith, nieces Patty Rombough, Jane Kilby, Robert Forster, Lisa Perrault and Michelle Perrault, other cousins and numerous grandchildren, and her cat Annabelle. Mary was predeceased by her husband Bruce Wayne Taylor, her sons Wayne James Binnie and Michael Brent Binnie, and siblings Audrey Eggins, Barbara Forster, Albert Galbraith and Patricia Galbraith.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life with reception will be held on Saturday April 20, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the Commons Room of the Gabriola Garden Homes condominium complex at 500 Argyle Lane, Gabriola Island, BC. Visitors are asked to park nearby on Argyle Lane, Burnside Drive or Ross Way. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Mary’s memory to the People for a Healthy Community on Gabriola Island. The family extends a special thank you to the VIHA Home Support Team, Drivers for Doctors and People for a Healthy Community on Gabriola Island, and to the nursing staff of the Woodgrove Manor long-term care residence in Nanaimo.
